From July 25-28, you can go see&nbsp;<strong><em>Seussical, Jr.<\/em><\/strong>, a musical performed by kids for families, at Rivertown Theaters in Kenner.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Seussical, Jr.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;features lyrics&nbsp;by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lynn_Ahrens\" title=\"Lynn Ahrens\">Lynn Ahrens<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;music by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stephen_Flaherty\" title=\"Stephen Flaherty\">Stephen Flaherty<\/a>and is based on stories of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dr._Seuss\" title=\"Dr. Seuss\">Dr. Seuss<\/a>(most of its plot is based on&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Horton_Hears_a_Who!\" title=\"Horton Hears a Who!\">Horton Hears a Who!<\/a><\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Directed by Sean Patterson and narrated by the Cat in the Hat, this delightful show features Horton the Elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people (the Whos) who he has to protect while guarding an egg that&#39;s been left in his care by Mayzie La Bird. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This show is a fun way to teach your children the power of friendship, loyalty, family and community.
