The Audubon Zoo will reopen to the public on Wednesday, June 3. After consulting with experts at zoos and aquarium across the country, local museums and attractions, and City and State officials, they have developed a comprehensive reopening plan that will ensure the health and safety of visitors, staff, volunteers, and, of course, the beloved animals who call the zoo home.

To better ensure physical distancing, the zoo will open with 25% capacity and online reservations will be required. Online tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, June 1. Staff will be required to wear masks in public spaces, stringent cleaning protocols will be in place, and physical distancing signage will be put up all over the zoo as a reminder.

Like other zoos and aquariums across the nation, Audubon has been caring for their animals and parks with zero operating income since the Covid-19 pandemic began. If you can't visit now, you can still help by contributing to the Audubon Recovery Fund.

In the weeks to come, Audubon will be announcing plans to open other attractions, including the Aquarium of the Americas.
